Extra Help (LIS): Free Prescription Savings Most Seniors Miss

If the video does not play here, open it on YouTube

Extra Help — also called the Low Income Subsidy — is a federal program that lowers what you pay for prescription drugs under Medicare Part D.

If you qualify, you could pay as little as a few dollars for your medications instead of full price. Generic drugs can drop to under $5 and brand-name drugs to under $12.

The income limits are higher than most people think, and the application is free. I help my clients apply at no charge as part of their Medicare review.

If you're not sure whether you qualify, call me — I'll check in a few minutes.
